Gertrude Lyons

Gertrude is the Director of the Family, Parenting and Couples programs at the Wright Institute. Prior to coaching and training with the Wright Institute, Gertrude worked as an economic analyst for a world-renowned cutting-edge economist. Her work was crucial not only in helping individuals get the highest value from their personal injury and wrongful death court cases, but also in contributing to the founding of the Institute for Value of Life. At the Wright Institute, she uses a systems approach to help families learn new skills and build upon their strengths while identifying and reducing relationship patterns which prevent closeness. The families she works with become more intimate, connected, and supportive. Individually and on weekend workshops, Gertrude trains and coaches couples on their communication, conflict resolution skills, and lifestyle issues. In addition to couples and family coaching, Gertrude works with a diverse group of clients from business VPs to stay-at-home moms. She serves on the board for Centro San Bonafacio, a woman's organization dedicated to support and training for women in Latin American communities. She is also one of the founding members of SOFIA (Society of Femininity in Action), an organization that provides training and inspiration for women of all walks of life. Gertrude's education includes a B.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from St. Mary's College Notre Dame and a M.A. in Psychology with a focus on Couples and Family from Antioch University.
